Dal Chapathi

Dhal Chapathi

It contains proteins and carbo hydrates.Very healthy snack. No side dish is required.




Ingredients
Cooked dhal............. 1cup
Wheat flour............2cups
Chili powder..........1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Asafoetida...............a pinch
Tiloil.......................2tsp
Olive oil ..................3tbsp
Method

Mix flour,cooked dhal, salt hing and chili powder. Make a thick dough , apply oil on the dough and keep for an hour. Make small balls of the dough roll it into a chapathi.Heat a pan put the chapathi on it and cook both sides, applying olive oil.The chapathis are very tasty.




Serve with chutney ,raitha or curry.It is very good for health .

Spinach chapathi
This is the good amount of spinach and wheat incorperating in the chapathi dough.This chapathis are good for health especially for diabetes people..I try different types of chapathis using vegetables and grains.

Ingredients

Spinach...........half bunch
Chili powder....1tsp
Salt to taste

Wheat flour.........3cups
Oil for applying.. 2tsp
Olive oil...............2tbsp


Method








Wash the spinach well and cook it with little water.Blend it when it is cooled. Add salt ,asafoetida, flour and chili powder . Make a thick dough with out adding water. Apply oil and keep for an hour.Make chapathis and cook both sides applying olive oil. Serve hot chapathis with curry .


Carrot and peas chapathi


Ingredients

Carrot and peas.........2cups
Wheat flour.................2cups
Chili powder..............1tsp
Salt to taste
Asafoetida............ a pinch
Olive Oil ...................2tbsp








Method

Microwave the carrot and peas with little water and grind it to a paste. Add flour, salt, chili powder and asafoetida and make a thick dough.Make chapathis and cook both sides applying olive oil.
Serve hot with raita.
Black eyed peas chapathi

Ingredients
Cooked black eyed peas.......1cup
Wheat flour..........................1cup
Chili powder........................1/2 tsp
Oil........................................2tbsp
Salt to taste
Asafoetida..... a pinch

Method

Mix cooked and ground black eyed peas and flour and other ingredients and make a dough.Keep for an hour. Make chapathis and cook both sides applying oil oil.Serve the chapathis hot with curry/raita
